How Second Wave uses your data

Second Wave’s Privacy Notice & Cookie Policy (Website Use)

At Second Wave we understand how important it is to protect your privacy. This Privacy Notice is a statement of our Privacy Policy and explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use our website. We have a particular concern for the protection of children and young people’s data and recommend that website users under the age of 16 seek guidance and permission from a responsible adult (aged 18+).

Information (data) we collect from website users

In running and maintaining our website we may collect and process the following data about you:

If you’re registering interest for an event/project/activity, or making a donation, the personal information we may collect includes:

If relevant to provide a service or complete a transaction we may ask for your date of birth and other relevant information.

How we process the information collected from website use

Second Wave will never share your information with any third parties, and we will only ever email you relevant news and opportunities that you have agreed to receive.

Access to Your Information, corrections and complaints

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you’d like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email phil@secondwave.org.uk. You can also ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

Types of cookies

There are two types of cookie you may encounter when using our website:

These are our own cookies, controlled by us and used to provide information about usage of our site. You are never personally identifiable through our use of the cookies we collect.

Third Party Cookies:
These are cookies found in other companies’ Internet tools which we are using to enhance our site, for example Facebook and Twitter have their own cookies, which they manage and control.
