Wave and engage in a positive way with young people in the community. Contact

EVENT CREW
15 – 24 years
THURSDAYS & SATURDAYS
Like helping to organise events? Gain practical
and technical skills like front of house and hospitality, lighting and sound,
graphics, photography, displays, camera operation, or help the actors backstage
with props, costumes, make-up etc.
YOUTH ARTS APPRENTICESHIPS
17 – 24 years
Ask for an Expression of Interest Form for
programme.
Part-time training and work experience offering
accreditation for young artists and performers (actors, lyricists, singers,
dancers and musicians) who are not in full-time education, training or employment.
Gain youth arts leadership skills and accreditation.
OUTREACH TEAM
16 – 24 years
2-5pm, THURSDAYS
A workshop setting where young people from Second
Wave work with the tutors and the police to challenge negative stereotypes.
Learn new skills, develop confidence and experience and get involved in outreach
performance events – see below. Also go to WAVE

YOUNG WRITERS
Writing is very popular at Wave. You can
develop your skills in workshops such as Lyricists/Spoken
Swagga (Tuesday evenings), and Lyricistaz (on
Wednesday & Saturday evenings). Singer/songwriters develop
their work in Vocals on Saturdays.
SCRIPTWRITING
Young writers work individually
and in teams to prepare script material for productions. Call
us for more details. If you are a spoken word artist, lyricist,
poet or playwright, you can book rehearsal space at Second
Wave to prepare for our next Platform Event. |

Wai
Yin Kwok
24 year old Wai Yin volunteered at Wave in 2006, supporting on costume for What
Does it Take (2007). In 2008, she was Costume Designer for the
new production at the Albany. Wai Yin designed the set and costume for Swagga.
Graduating from Rose Bruford College, her designs include Dark Tales (The
Lion & Unicorn), Midsummer Night's Dream (Southwark
Playhouse), Pangu & Nuwa (Outdoor Trafalgar Square), Monkey! (Polka
Theatre), Into the Woods / Big Top (Bridewell Theatre).
