Train

We are quite close to Deptford
train station. The station has regular
connections to London serving London Bridge and London Charing
Cross. In the opposite directions trains go towards Dartford
via Greenwich. Both platforms are accessible only through stairs – there
are no lifts at the station. The ticket office is open from
6:40am to 5:25pm Monday to Friday and closed on Saturday and
Sunday. There is a self service ticket machine. Oyster pre-pay
is not accepted. There are no bike racks in the station.

To get to Second Wave Youth Arts, you exit the station onto Deptford
High Street. Turn left and walk all the way to the
end of the high street where there is a pedestrian crossing to cross the street.
Turn right at the top of the high street and then immediately turn left to cross
the pedestrian crossing across Creek Road.
The building facing you is the Deptford Methodist Mission. We are on the first
floor of that building. There are two sets of green doors – you can find
our buzzer next to the green door on the right. The walk is approximately 10
minutes.
By Bus

The nearest buses to the Centre are 199, 47 and 188.

If coming from Lewisham or Greenwich direction,
the nearest bus stop is Deptford High Street/Evelyn
Street Stop R. At this bus stop, exit the bus, turn
left and carry on till you reach the pedestrian crossing on your left. Cross
the road, turn right and carry on walking. You will have to cross New King Street
and Watergate Street – both these streets don't have a pedestrian crossing
but are quite narrow. Once you cross Watergate Street, carry on walking till
you see two sets of green doors on your left. There is a big sign on top of the
doors saying Deptford Methodist Mission. We based on the first floor of this
building. You can find our buzzer next to the set of green doors on the right.
This walk is approximately 7 minutes.

If coming from London direction,
the nearest bus stop is Deptford High Street/Evelyn
Street Stop C. At this bus stop, exit the bus, turn
left and carry on walking till you see a set of green doors on your left. On
top of the doors, there is a big green sign saying Deptford Methodist Mission.
We are based on the first floor of that building and you can find our buzzer
next to the green doors on the right. This walk is approximately 5 minutes.
By car

If you are driving to Second wave, you can park
on Watergate Street.
Second Wave is based on the 1st floor of Deptford Methodist Mission
which is situated on the corner of Watergate Street and Creek Road.
Please note there is restricted parking in Watergate Street
on Mondays and Fridays between 12 to 2pm. If you wish to drop a person
off by car outside the entrance, there is a single yellow line outside
the Mission Building. It is a busy road, but it is possible to stop
the car (after the traffic lights and zig zag lines) and drop someone
off right outside the front entrance.
